We had a wonderful stay at Henderson Park Inn! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The view from the property is absolutely beautiful, especially from the back deck overlooking the beach. We loved the complimentary happy hour from 3:30 to 4:30 — such a relaxing way to unwind with drinks in hand while enjoying the scenery. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The large shower with a bench was a great touch and added a little extra luxury to the stay. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in keeping everything clean and fresh. This place is a hidden gem! It’s a quiet and secluded oasis off the beaten path. Things we loved: Breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant were some of the best we had during our 15 days in Florida. The nature preserve literally right next door was perfect for hours of quiet walks on the white sand beach. (From here on out, no other beach will do!) The service was fantastic in every way, from the customer service over the phone, to the bartender on the patio, to the wait staff — we can completely understand why guests come back year after year. I first stumbled across Henderson Park Inn during COVID, simply by Googling “the most romantic places to stay.” It came up as number one. Honestly, I didn’t think it was somewhere I could afford, but because it was during COVID, the prices were lower and we were able to make it happen. I am so incredibly grateful we did — this place has become my favorite place in the world.||On one hand, I want everyone to experience Henderson Park Inn… on the other hand, I secretly don’t want too many people to know about it, because it truly feels like a hidden gem.||The rooms facing the water are absolutely worth it. Zero stars if I could. Absolutely the worst customer experience of my life. My wife booked a reservation for the toes in the sand dinner 3 months before we traveled across the country for a Valentine’s weekend getaway. After calling multiple times, while in Destin, to confirm the reservation, we finally spoke to a real person. They make you leave a message, and I honestly don’t think they planned to let us know they cancelled the reservation until we called back again and spoke to someone. The staff wrote down the wrong phone number and never informed us they canceled our reservation. After talking to a service rep who did not accept responsibility for their mistake and try to remedy the situation, we decided this would be a waste of a very expensive dinner. This is a small, adults-only boutique hotel that’s perfect for a calm, romantic stay. The biggest highlight for me was the direct access to a private beach with white sand and clear water—beautiful and very peaceful.||||The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, with real care for details and guest comfort. The overall vibe is quiet and relaxing—no kids, no crowds, no noise.||Rooms are comfortable, and some offer lovely ocean views (I’d recommend booking a higher category). Food and drinks on site were good, and the whole place feels intimate and elegant.||||Downsides: prices are on the higher side for Destin, and some rooms could use a refresh. ||||Bottom line: a great choice for a romantic couples’ getaway or a peaceful beach escape if you value privacy, tranquility, and excell
