My husband and I absolutely love the beach here. From the sand to the water…everything is beautiful here. We stayed at an Airbnb that had a oceanfront view and it was amazing. We made sure to visit the local spots and wined down at the beach (we got to witness a beautiful beach wedding). This was our first time visiting this area but it definitely won’t be our last as we plan to come back soon. I’d recommend this spot if you’re a couple and eat if you’re a family as they have so much to do here!
Destin is an amazing family vacation destination. My only advice is to make your plans and get out to the beach early before the traffic hits the strip. Amazing fresh seafood everywhere and a local pizza place called Landshark was incredible. For a cheaper day/night go down across the bridge to Ft. Walton pier area and enjoy the nightlife.
New beach access coming soon on east Scenic 98 close to the Okaloosa and Walton County border.
Everything was just wonderful ! You can't go wrong.
