Sunbird Cape Cod Resort

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE- dirty pool- hair floating, no towels. Looks like it isn’t cleaned regularly. Our first room, was disgusting. Smelled like sewage, plastic over the smoke detector, holes in the wall with toilet paper stuffed in it. Staff was not accommodating and very rude. We were given a new room which was better but tub didn’t work. We tried to talk to front desk- they were extremely rude and aggressive. We asked to talk with a manager and they said “they will call you when they call you” We were supposed to be roomed next to our friends but they didn’t and were told they would move us on our second day (we called after booking to request this and they said no problem) we were flexible and grateful then they refused to move us next to them saying they didn’t have anymore rooms avail

Our room was spacious. We loved the pool area and weekend breakfast. Was definitely budget friendly! |Housekeeping was amazing and so helpful! |We will definitely revisit this resort.

Positive: That we were able to check-in so late without any problems. Negative: We had a hard time contacting the hotel to let them after hours, no way to leave message.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Overall, the cleanliness was good, and the staff were very attentive. The indoor and outdoor swimming pools are a great option, especially for families with children. The hot breakfast was quite good, and the staff there were friendly and welcoming. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. However, I believe the hotel should provide drinking water for its guests. Also, it was a bit disturbing to see people cooking with a huge pot in the middle of the kids’ playground while playing loud music. The strong spice smell by the poolside was honestly a bit too much for us. 😬

I used the word resort as this is how they advertise their property. Though this a misnomer on many counts. Other reviewers have already commented on it not being a resort. I agree with other reviewers that the room on the lower level had a terrible stench. On top of this the floor was very sticky. On the upside the bed was comfortable and the shower was ok. The lady that looked after the breakfast room was very kind and had great great customer service.||My main issue with this facility is their deceptive business tactics. I paid cash for my stay and the front desk staff would not give me a receipt and then proceeded to advise Expedia that my credit card had failed and they cancelled my reservation. So be aware of doing any business with these people.
