Sun Retreats Fort Myers Beach

We had a very pleasant stay at this RV resort. The bathrooms were always clean, the pool was well maintained, and the laundry facilities were tidy and easy to use. Having one pickleball court on site was a nice bonus and added to the relaxed, social vibe. The park felt safe and well organized. Sites are located close to each other, which makes it easy to feel part of the community. Trash needs to be taken to the dumpster by guests, which was not a problem and helped keep the grounds clean. Overall, this is a well-kept, secure RV resort with good amenities. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a clean and comfortable place to park their RV.

We came to visit friends from home in New Hampshire for a mini vacation at their seasonal home at the Groves RV park. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the residents who were all very friendly. The park itself was spotless and well laid out. The pool and hot tub were clean and warm. We stayed for 6 days and wish we had more time. Lot's to do in the area. We behaved so were invited back next year. Hopefully we will. We enjoyed some of the many get-togethers the residents put on because of our connection to our friends that live there. Had a great time and would consider getting a place there ourselves one day.

Sun Retreats Fort Myers Beach is a well maintained campground with solid amenities, but it is definitely better suited for smaller rigs. We were lucky to be placed in the last row, and even then we only barely fit our 45 foot fifth wheel. Most of the interior streets are narrow, and I do not think we would have been able to make it work in many of the other sites. The campground itself is clean and clearly well cared for. The pool, hot tub, playground, and community center are all very nice. On busy or sunny days it can be tough to grab pool chairs, so timing helps. The workout facility is basic but functional, with a treadmill, bike, free weights, and balance balls. There is also a pool table and a game room available for guest use, which is a nice bonus. Not a bad park. It would be nice if the dumpsters weren't in the very back of the park and more throughout or near the entrance of the resort. The other issue we had was my wife has a mobile hair salon and they wouldn't allow us to put her small sign on our site but allowed others to have signs in the park. Very well kept grounds though, I'll say that. The dog park is tiny with no water for the dogs so bring that with you. Navigating the park with a 43' fifth wheel was tight in spots but doable. Lots of activities throughout the resort including a pool table, board game/puzzle room, a pickle ball court, bocce ball, shuffle board, pool, and hot tub. Convenient to Sanibel Island and the beaches. Full hookup campground with nice pool and hot tub. Laundry facilities and other amenities. Good price for what you get and the sites are level with pavers like you would get in an RV Resort. We stayed for 4 nights while enjoying the area and it has been a great experience.
