Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Myers at I-75 and Gulf Coast Town Center

The Ft. Myers Residence Inn Gulf Coast Town Center is a great hotel at a very reasonable price. Our room was large and very clean; the bed was comfortable and the location is perfect, near shopping and many good restaurants, and close to I-75 if you want to go further afield. The one thing that sets this hotel apart from its peers is the excellent staff. The manager, Cris, and the front desk attendant Ana, were always cheery and very helpful. They had free water at the front desk, and coordinated to get us checked in several hours early due to the early arrival of our flight. There are plenty of options available in this price range, but when I come back to Ft. Our stay was somewhat disappointing considering our previous experiences at Marriott hotels. To begin with, the rooms are extremely noisy. It is unclear whether the walls are poorly insulated, but you can clearly hear what is happening in neighboring rooms — footsteps, bed movements, and even the sound of running water from the shower. Additionally, the air conditioning unit is excessively loud. If you are sensitive to noise, it is difficult to get a good night’s rest. Regarding breakfast, the selection was limited and did not include fruit or pastries, which are typically offered at other Marriott properties. Long-term Marriott Bonvoy member. We cancelled our flights due to the government shut down and drove almost 1300 miles. Booked this hotel at the very last minute. Little time to research. |Totally pleased with this Residence Inn at Fort Myers. Great hot breakfast and very good service. Our room was kindly upgraded in advance of our stay. This hotel has amazing staff, great rooms and you can't beat the location. The staff went the extra mile to make sure our needs were met and that we were comfortable. They treated us like family. There are a myriad of restaurants, stores and a Costco within walking distance even. The Costco is nice since the units have full kitchens. The internet was very good and although we didn't use the pool, it looked very inviting and there were always plenty of others taking advantage of it. We also didn't use the shuttle during our stay but nice to know it is available. This is definitely one of the best Residence Inns we have stayed at and they certainly have the nicest staff!

We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Fort Myers and had a great experience. One of the families in our group was upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, which made the stay extra special and enjoyable for the kids. The room was very clean, the bathroom was spotless, and everything looked new and well maintained. The bed and sheets were very comfortable. The TV had modern apps like YouTube and Netflix, which was a nice touch. Parking was easy with plenty of space available, and the location is also very convenient. Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 9:30 AM and the quality was good. However, there could be more breakfast options, and with only one waffle maker there was often a small queue.
