Sun 'n Sand Motel

Book directly through the motel! Wish I would have booked it directly the first time but now I know about this lovely little motel that I found through hotels.com. If you don't already know, Stone Harbor is a beautiful Shore town. It's all the things you want it to be safe, clean and beautiful! This adorable Sun N Sand Motel compliments this town perfectly. It was a last minute booking for a wedding that my family and I was attending at the Reeds. We didn't want to drive an hour back home after the wedding so I booked the two-bedroom apartment #8. It was perfect for me and my adult children. The apartment had everything we could possibly need for an Extended Stay, although we were only there for a night. It was very comfortable and clean. This motel is a gem. The style is kind of throw-back, but it's very up to date and very well maintained. Our room for the 2 of us had 2 queens, a table and chairs and a refrigerator. The room was immaculate and we never expected to have clean linens each day and daily maid service -- but we did! Such great service. Our room was on the first floor, so our car and our bikes were right outside our door -- so very convenient; no waiting for valets or climbing up and down stairs. It made unpacking and packing so very easy. The owner was very pleasant and helpful, directing us to points of interest. We were 2-1/2 blocks from the beautiful beach and 3 blocks from the main business district. We enjoyed our daily bike rides right to and from our door. It was a perfect September getaway.

Small quaint hotel with a comfortable walk to the beach. Room was clean, free parking, and a outside shower to wash down your beach items. The price is very fair, especially during the peak season of the jersey shore.

My husband and I were in town for a weekend wedding in Avalon. We booked a room here because the reviews promised a quaint, quiet, convenient location and that's what we got. We had a 2-bedroom suite on the end (#8). ||||Our check-in was smooth and I had asked for extra towels ahead of arrival and they were there in our unit. The unit was extremely clean and had every amenity that we needed. It was very cozy and cottagey and, despite being an older building, it had the amenities that we needed. Specifically, there were plenty of accessible chargers, USB ports, and plugs throughout. The kitchen was well-stocked. The beds were comfy. I stayed in 2 queen room, not a suite, and it was perfect for me. The rooms are clean and quaint but not outdated. The bathroom was well stocked with soaps, shampoos, etc. and a hair dryer. Well stocked with towels that were replenished daily. The bathroom is small but worked fine for me. There is a fridge, no freezer. Missing amenities would only be microwave and coffee maker, but there are plentiful coffee and breakfast places within walking distance. The location is great, it’s a quieter than downtown area and the beach is within a short walk away. Beach tags are provided and parking is free in the area. Also a great outdoor shower stocked with shampoo, soap etc. Nice family owned business, very nice owners. Loved my time there, stayed for a week.
