Lark Motel

I had to come into town for a funeral in June. I found the Lark Motel by chance online and stayed there for 1 night. It was a quick overnight trip, so I didn’t really get the full feel of the place. Having to go back this month (October) to visit friends, I made a 3-night reservation this time. From the communication via email, through the entire stay, I have to say it was amazing! Denise, Dick, even Denise's son (helped me check out) were helpful, informative and just plain nice!! Family run and friendly. Even the cleaning staff were engaging and made sure I had what I needed to make my stay comfortable. The Lark in Stone Harbor is the perfect spot to visit and stay. The rooms are immaculate and nicely sized, the people are so very kind, the location is absolutely perfect and it is so nice to park the car and leave it there for the entire visit. Walking to the very close shops and restaurants is a breeze as is the short walk to the beautiful beach two blocks away. If you would like, lounging by the pool and enjoying the crystal clear water of the pool is a wonderful option. ||Sometime if you wish for the beauty and glory that is Stone Harbor, give The Lark a visit..but please leave a spot for Bob and myself as we cannot wait to go back.

The Lark is our go-to to for so many reasons. Clean, comfortable rooms, some with full kitchenettes, the clearest heated pool around, and a wonderfully welcoming staff! Biggest plus: Perfect location - 1 1/2 blocks to the best beaches anywhere, 1 1/2 blocks the other direction to Stone Harbor's 96th Street with its unique shops and craveable restaurants & taverns. Head North to Avalon for additional menu choices, or south on the parkway to experience eclectic and beautiful Cape May, or family fun on the Wildwood boardwalk. Whether it's a couples weekend, girl's getaway, or family vacation - The Lark will not disappoint!

I live just a shell’s throw from The Lark Motel and have known the owners and Harry, who has been running this family-owned gem for over 50 years. Harry is truly special, loved by everyone in town and by me, and he is the heart of this place. Friends and neighbors of mine have stayed here for decades some for 30 or even 40+ years because they know they’ll always find spotless rooms, a welcoming atmosphere, and a staff who genuinely care. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach and an easy walk to 96th Street for shopping and dining.
