StudioRes by Marriott Fort Myers Airport

Room and the desk team are fantastic. Just know that this property is basically a studio apartment so you don't get hotel bath soap, shampoo, Kleenex etc... They do provide bed sheets and towels. There are no pots and pans in the rooms. If you need an iron you will need to ask for one. This isn't a complaint it's just how this brand is setup. The hotel and property are new and very nice. Don't expect hotel amenities, even the small stuff. Also, Sasha has been the friendliest desk staff that we have ever met. I spend 75 nights a year at Marriotts around the world and she's the best.

This hotel is bare bones. They do have a refrigerator, a cooktop that did not work a microwave, but No utensils, no dishes, no glasses, no coffee maker, no shampoo, no conditioner, no pictures on the walls, just a white room with white sheets and blankets. I would never stay in this hotel again. What good is a kitchen in a hotel if you have to bring your own dishes and pots?? When I booked this - it said there was a kitchen... who thinks that there would be absolutely nothing else! To make it worse - the cooktop didn't even work! Terrible. Don't stay here.

Great hotel. The room was clean and quiet. I really appreciated the kitchenette. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The guests were also surprisingly friendly. But the best part of my experience at the hotel was with Lucas, the wonderful gentleman at the front desk. His kindness, patience and knowledge helped turn a very difficult day into a positive one. He is a great ambassador for the hotel.

Given the information about the hotel on the website, and what we discovered once we got there, StudioRes felt like a poorly executed plan for a new type of hotel. The rooms are Ikea-like, trying to cram a lot into a confined space, but left much to be desired. Little room for suitcases. Nothing to cook or eat with as advertised (although, on our last night there, plates and utensils for two were left in our room). No paper towel, nothing to wash dishes with - theirs or ours. No Kleenex. They advertise that this will be great for military. Not sure why - I guess they expect military to always have all the items listed above with them (I'm retired, so I've stayed in hotels with kitchenettes before as part of the relocation experience - never one like this). What an Awesome product! First time in this new Marriott Extended Stay concept and it was outstanding. Price point was great. Hotel was almost brand new. Lots of dining options nearby. Keep them coming Marriott, perfect for extended stay or just one night by the airport.
