You can tell that someone invested money into this hotel at some point as the rooms looked nicer than I expected. However, the maintenance was not great. It gets 4 instead of 3 stars for the value.

Positive: Relatively cheap for a hotel room. Room and bed were clean, check-in was quick and easy. Negative: Airport is right next door so it is loud, but to be expected. Was awoken at around 10:30pm to some random person beating on my door (but fortunately the person working the desk was outside very quickly to tell them to leave).

The updates are nice, but with that some other improvements should have been made to the showers and the door frames. The shower head we had had water coming out of everywhere. The door frame was too wide at the bottom corner, and the bottom didn't seal all the way allowing in cigarette smoke from the people outside. Also when it rained and the rain blew hard some water got underneath the door. Overall it wasn't a bad stay, Meredith at the desk was awesome. I would stay here again, and hopefully this prompts some little fine tuning.

Hotel is close to the exhibition center. We chose to Uber to due to bad weather but you could walk it in about 20 minutes. The crowd hanging around the hotel is sketchy. The room was clean enough but you can tell there’s not much effort into being super clean. The floors require you to keep something on your feet. We saw a few roaches. No hairdryer. It’s fine if you’re ok with sub par. We just needed a place to sleep for a few hours

I requested a non-smoking room, and it was evident that that room had been smoked in. But I am happy that I got my deposit back, and that I was not charged for smoking, as I had never smoked in my life.
