Stellar Suites

I recently stayed at this self-service hotel and wanted to share my experience, especially for other women who may be traveling alone. This is a code-entry, no front-desk, fully self-service property. You’re pretty much on your own during your stay, so if you prefer on-site staff or added security, that’s something to keep in mind. The room itself was very cute and thoughtfully designed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful, and I appreciated the available snacks for purchase. However, the shower pressure was extremely low — barely more than a stream — which was disappointing given how nice the bathroom looked. My biggest concern was safety. The surrounding area felt a bit sketchy, particularly at night. There was no deadbolt on the room door, which made me uncomfortable

Beautifully designed place in a wonderful neighbourhood! The suites are super comfortable and the amenities are great. You can borrow a bike to explore the city and its riverfront, or just stay in NULU and enjoy the independent art galleries and shops. I would absolutely stay here next time I’m in Louisville.

When travelling to NuLu, I was between staying at Hotel Genevieve or at Stellar Suites and ultimately was disappointed in my choice to stay at Stellar Suites. I believe the unit you stay in highly influences your experience - we were able to look into a number of other rooms while they were being cleaned and we were really bummed with our selection - suite 7 Studio King. It felt dirty, dark and worn, not a room you want to spend any time in beyond what is necessary. There was nowhere to really hang out, the community area is really dark and drabby, zero natural light. The couch and bed in our room were comfortable but that was the extents of the room pros. There was very little hot water at the sink, and low pressure, the fan in the bathroom was insanely loud. There were no complimentary

Great accommodations in the heart of Nulu. The suite had everything to offer and more. The beds were comfortable and the suite was so quiet, considering it sits on Market Street. So many restaurants to choose from for dinner options at night. Three micro breweries and two distilleries within walking distance from Stellar Suites. We will definitely stay there again when we visit the Bourbon Trail in the future.

We rented at Stellar Suites for a sister’s weekend and the experience was wonderful! Louisville was a good central location for all of us coming in from out of town. The proximity within NuLu was perfect, making it easily walkable to restaurants, bars, and shopping. The amenities were great, they provided some snacks and beverages for purchase at very reasonable prices, which was so convenient! The beds were comfortable, and it was very quiet. Would highly recommend booking with Stellar Suites! Looking forward to our next visit back again!
