Stoney Creek Hotel Quad Cities - Moline

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Stoney Creek due to several issues. Our room was rundown, with the sink tilting & pulling away from the wall, which made using it an adventure in wet clothes and shoes. The toilet paper roll was positioned so awkwardly that using it required contortionist efforts. There wasn't much surface for toiletries, and the only way I could use the outlet for my blow dryer was for my husband to stand there and press the plug into the outlet for the length of time it took to dry my hair. However, the last straw was stepping into the shower only to be greeted by the shower liner full of mold/mildew spots. The ceiling vent was also dirty. The trash receptacle at a back entrance was full to overflowing for two days.

Please don't come here. We looked forward to a family weekend away and it was totally ruined. Paid extra for a whirlpool suit - it was gross. Pictures included. I checked thoroughly for bedbugs and didn't see any, but there were boogers on the wall, trash everywhere, carpets where filthy. You can literally smell weed in the hallway from all the people getting high in their rooms. To top it off, we got a text at 11pm that the pool was closed for the rest of our stay. My 6-year old got to swim one time - thankfully we went right after checking in for about an hour. I feel bad for the families that can't just book another hotel like I am fortunate enough to be able to do. Just terrible.

I could not speak any more highly of this hotel! From the cleanliness to the staff and whole experience i was so impressed and satisfied. The manager Sarah went above and beyond for our stay. Sarah was so kind, accommodating and no exaggeration she made this one of the best hotel stays we've ever had. She truly loves her job and it shines so brightly through her work and how she handles guests. Thank you sooo much again for being so amazing and accommodating to us. I cant express enough praise or gratitude for her!! The whole place feels very cozy and it is very clean. If i could give a higher rating than 5 stars i absolutely would! Thank you again Sarah!!!!! 😊

Positive: The staff was very friendly & location was close to the river. Negative: Pool & spa needed some attention. Pillows & bed needed upgrades.

This hotel needs a massive overhaul, it could be a great place with how beautiful the lobby is however the pool area was in desperate need of cleaning and updating. The pool and hot tub were DIRTY, not so much the water(although since it’s an indoor outdoor combo there was some things floating around like dead leaves and stuff) but around the pool was nasty. There was mold and rotting wood everywhere, paint peeling off the walls and ceiling and mysterious piles of rotten food? Around the hot tub. There was a vent that had fallen off the ceiling near an outdoor exit in the pool room that had brought a bunch of nasty stuff down with it, with what appeared to be zero effort to clean it up, and the pool room bathroom was out of order which is very inconvenient with children.
