Motel 6 Moline, IL

This is not a motel 6. It is a trapped our hotel with roaches mold and no one working the desk. So if you get locked out at night, You can't get into your room until 8am.

My dad had booked online and the guy at the front desk had a reeallly hard time trying to find our reservation and getting us checked in it probably took a good 25 mins or more. We asked to see if the rooms were even worth staying in and they looked very small. Overall very old and worn down and pretty sure I saw a cockroach running around in the lobby. We decided to stay somewhere else.

We booked the room via internet while driving, and stayed here for one night on a holiday trip back east. The reservation process was seamless. To summarize, IMHO, this building has reached the end of its functional life. The exterior doors do not close and lock automatically, which is a concern, although the neighborhood didn't seem too sketchy. The carpet in our room warranted foot covering at all times. In the middle of the night the plastic cover on the HVAC unit fell off and woke us. The HVAC unit worked, but lacked a decent thermostat so setting a reasonable temperature was guesswork. We weren't cold, at least.||||When we entered the motel hallway there was a pervasive stench of cannabis that faded to a slight odor in our room.||||On the plus side there was plentiful hot water and

Made a reservation at this “hotel” drove to it just to discover it’s not a motel 6 but some other name. Saw two room windows broken out and someone climbing into a first floor room through its window! Just drove on by and stayed elsewhere. I’m sure they will charge my card anyway.

So Amber at the Front desk was very nice and helpful! The room however was sketchy to say the least. The shower had a distinct mold appearance, the popcorn ceiling was falling apart, the cable wire was strung out and in the way, the TV was small, there was no alarm clock, and the floor was uneven (very odd). The bed appeared clean but was very springy! Not the worst bed I've ever slept in, but not the greatest either and it only had 2 pillows. There was no microwave or fridge in the room either. However!!! This motel only cost $50, so you definitely get what you pay for. So it served it's purpose for my one night, but If you are looking for a vacation stay or even a fancy place then this isn't for you! Checkout was very simple too!
