La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Moline Airport

First off let it be clear that I got what I paid for. I did not expect miracles at the price point but I did expect clean. First off, the floors literally oozed after up through the planks as you walked on them. The chair in the room was broken. The tables looked like they had what I’ll politely call “stuff” on them. After trying to wipe it down it appears to just be burned or destroyed. The shower head was open into the wall. The tub drained so slowly you could take a shower and a bath at the same time. The flooring near the tub looked nasty. The breakfast in the morning had options but was so bleh. The syrup was watered down as was the orange juice. We used reward points, and it quickly became clear why this place was such a bargain. We spotted no fewer than 10 baby cockroaches — or maybe just really confident bugs. There were three of us and only two towels, so I dried off with a hand towel like a pioneer. The hallway carpet appears to be original… as is the dirt on it.||Free stay, plenty of wildlife, and a great story to tell. 10/10 for adventure, 0/10 for comfort.

Theresa at the front desk is an angel. She took care of us and made us feel like family. She took care of all of our needs promptly and with great customer service!

The experience was absolutely terrible. As soon as we entered the lobby, we could tell the place was in awful condition. The photos online are completely misleading—believe the negative reviews instead. The entire property looks like it needs to be torn down and rebuilt. There were bugs everywhere, the carpet was destroyed, and the whole place had a run-down, almost prison-like atmosphere. The smell was unbearable. It only got worse from there. When we opened the door to our assigned room, there was already someone inside. We were shocked and extremely uncomfortable. The front desk attendant was polite and apologized, saying she would refund my card. However, my card was still charged afterward. Please take this as a warning and avoid this place at all costs.
