Staybridge Suites Lakeland West by IHG

The front desk was very accommodating and avaiable immediately to answer any questions and provide extra bedding. The pool was well maintained and well lit at night as well as the outside social and BBQ area. Breakfast was amazing with great variety and spacious dining area. Room temp was perfect with a very quiet fan than we could leave on or automatic. The location was easy access to Parkway and Interstate without any congested traffic. A+ for children and pets.

Review – Lakeland, FL (3855 Don Emerson Dr.) I stay in hotels constantly for work and typically choose brands like Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn, and similar business-class properties. This is not a hotel I would normally book, but I gave it a chance. First, credit where it’s due: Drew at the front desk was excellent. Friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful during check-in. He did a great job and represents the hotel well. One of the housekeepers I interacted with was also very kind. That said, the property itself is clearly worn and not very clean. There was dirt on the floors in the elevator and hallways, the walls are scuffed and dirty, and the room itself was just okay at best. Not only do they have free breakfast! The selections are great with even a fountain soda machine. Free laundry machines. Nice rooms with a kitchen with a tall fridge, hot surface for cooking, dishwasher, garbage disposal, office desk. I would definitely comeback here.

It seems that my review keeps getting deleted not just on here but Trip Advisor as well. Wonder why that is? This place has BEDBUGS! Do not stay here! I am with FEMA and stayed here while on deployment to assist the disaster survivors. The first day I got there I had a mild itch, each day got worse, I brought to the managers attention they inspected the room and assured me it was carpet beetles not bed bugs. When I got back after a 12 hour day, they assured me it was taken care of. They steam cleaned the floor stripped the bed etc. That lasted one night, the next night was worse than all the others. I went to the front desk and I patiently explained that I again have bed bugs. They offered me another room but I didn't want to move and just carry the bugs with ma. I asked that I b

I stayed on the second floor in a really nice end room. Fortunately also very close to the elevator. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable except for one thing, the air conditioner worked. I have only 3 complaints. One is the strange convoluted way their lights work, and the other is I did not know that they were very high beds. I find very high beds to be quite uncomfortable. You can't sit on the edge of them, it makes it difficult to get into them, evidently they have regular height beds on the first floor. Next time I'm there I will book a handicap room, the toilets in the regular rooms are the lower ones with nothing to help you get off of the toilet at all. No grab rails or anything to grab a hold of to help. I did not participate in the breakfast or the Monday evening social.
