St Augustine Beach & Tennis Resort

Recently stayed 3 weeks in Unit 901. Reserved for 6 wks but condo had many maintenance issues and just a very uncomfortable townhouse so we left early. Smelly furniture, rusting dishwasher, rusting microwave and 1980 ish dryer rusted and pending breakdown at anytime. 15 min walk to beach. Original 40 yr old patio doors that did not lock...Charley bar used. Management is very aware of the poor condition of this condo but still making available for rent. I seriously recommend avoiding Unit 901.

The condo unit was very comfortable and very amply furnished. Our stay was two weeks long. Halfway through the stay, our A/C went out. The law says that you cannot live in a rental if the A/C is inoperable. Not sure if that is a Fl law, or county. The rental agency had to move us to another property (a house) about 4 miles away. While a pain in the posterior, the place we were moved to was exceedingly nice. ||What was disappointing in this whole reservation was that the pool for the condo complex was not heated, and during the winter in that part of FL, that is a no go. They actually have two pools, but one was under renovation. The one available to us actually has a heater, but according to a maintenance person, it broke and the condo association decided not to fix it. Oh well

I have stayed in a lot of timeshares and unfortunately this has to be the worst. Place was unclean and smelled. No filters for air conditioning and my partner had breathing problems.Beds and pillows like rocks.Sheets thin and pilling.Shower taps needed fixing as wouldn't turn off, luckily they fixed, but no cold water after. Old small TV's, old dirty uncomfotable lounges.They asked for a cleaning fee after I booked, stated a replacement fee for washers at $10 if dirty, wow can buy them for a $1. Had to leave early as it was too unpleasant to stay. Beach 12 min walk, thought it would be closer.Really needs a update immediately

The rental unit i had is 818. Old sink fixtures in the kitchen and both bathrooms. Very little water pressure. Buds as hard as cement. Called up the office to see about a mattress topper and was told they dont offer that. As a resort, they have the beds of a super cheap hotel. Yet charge outrageous prices. I may have the idea of a resort wrong, but it should be above a hotel. This one isn't, in my opinion. Has old furniture but on the bright side it's still a mile walk to the beach. Which was amazing.

Traded timeshare for timeshare here. Not impressed. Condo needs updating. Described as walk to beach. True if you enjoy walking 15 minutes or more in sweltering heat. Pool small, too warm and murky. |The town of St. Augustine was quaint and easy to walk around shops, restaurants and some tours. |Might visit the area again in winter time when not in the 90s (surprised it was that hot in May). Would not stay at this resort again.
