Spruce Lake RV Park

I visited this park with my parents the last week of the season. The lots are small. There are no fire rings. Our lot did not have the picnic table that was supposed to be included. We had to ask for one and then we were asked multiple times if they could take it back because they wanted to get it done before the end of the season. Either you're open or you're not. There should not be less amenities than you pay for on the last week of the season. The WiFi was also shut off early for the season. Shout out to one staff member who let us use his personal WiFi for the week. He was great and is the only reason this review is getting two stars for service instead of one. Beautiful clean location! Elk visit frequently! Guys in red shirts are helpful and friendly. Office staff not so much. They need a course in customer service. Our 2nd year here stayed for 10 days this time. Asked if could cancel the last night for credit next year since we needed to get back for a funeral. Manager: "you are welcome to leave whenever you choose". "We give no credit or refunds." That was that! Although we like this place probably won't give it another chance.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Well maintained Park. Nice employees. Close to RMNP and downtown Estes. Awesome laundry room!!! Very quiet and peaceful. A herd of elk walked right through the creek!! It was beautiful.

The lady at the front desk with the black hair was extremely rude, she lacked any sort of customer service whatsoever. My grandparents had booked for an extra night but sadly my Grandpas Aunt passed away suddenly so they were wanting to head back a day sooner. My grandma very kindly explained our situation to the front desk lady, and she very rudely exclaimed “ you can leave whenever you want” not an i’m sorry for your lose or anything. She just was rude and disrespectful. Not even offering a credit to come back again sometime just a rude remark. I get that places may not allow refunds but some simple courtesy between two humans would be great. Nevertheless The ground workers (people with the red shirts) were so kind and always offered help. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Large, flat sites each with a picnic table. Great views right along the river. Walking distance to several restaurants, a well-stocked local grocery store, gas station and gift shop. Near RMNP entrance. Would definitely return.
