Castle Mountain Lodge

I loved my stay at Castle Mountain Lodge! The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and had such a cozy mountain feel — exactly what I hoped for on my visit to Rocky Mountain National Park. The views were beautiful, and it was so peaceful to sit outside or walk the property and listen to the river. The wild animals on and around the property were an added bonus. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, and you can tell they really care about keeping the place nice for guests. It’s also super close to the park entrance, which made getting to the trails really easy. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in Estes Park!

We have stayed at Castle Mountain in the past, and it was easy to want to revisit. Always friendly service, whether booking by phone, or when checking in or out. Comfortable cabin, always clean. Also enjoy the fact of included firewood. Peaceful place to relax.

While the rooms are a bit dated, the team that runs the place are attentive and friendly. I needed a last-minute reservation on a busy, holiday weekend, and the lodge was exactly what my friend and I were after. Would really love if the hot tub didn't require prior reservations, and not all of us are dog people so the St. Bernard was a bit of a surprise, but I'd gladly stay again for quick trips up the mountain.

This is truly a magical place. My husband and I have spent his birthday here the past several years and it is always a magical time. They have so many add-ons to make your trip special: from smores kits, to spa packages, to flowers and candy, to your own cut Christmas tree to decorate around the holidays. Every Sunday, they have cinnamon rolls in the lobby from Cinnamon's and they are to die for. Staff is always kind and accommodating. I love the Christmas lights around property and in-room hot tubs. Highly recommend this as a relaxing, quiet, and romantic mountain vacation! Also, my dog absolutely loves the wild turkeys and watching them roam! We hope you enjoyed the cookies.

We had a pleasant stay at the Castle Mountain Lodge in November. The cabin was clean and comforable. The cabin kitchen had the basics items for cooking small meals. The property had plenty of room to walk around and relax if you wanted to get out of the cabin. There are a good amount of chairs, picnic tables and camp fire rings around the property to relax outside. The staff was very nice on the couple occasions we talked to them. Overall, a great experience. I would stay there again.
