SpringHill Suites by Marriott Madison

As a former luxury travel agent for Amex I had grown accustomed to being in 5-star luxury hotels throughout the world. I knew my expectations should be lowered for a stay here, however, I was pleasantly surprised on several aspects that luxury hotels all exhibit; good customer service. The check-in process was swift and easy, the information given was helpful, my notes on preferred room location were acknowledged and the bar and restaurant staff were also helpful. The room was spacious, had an empty refrigerator for my leftovers or other kinds of foods and drinks I may have and I didn't have to deal with a mini-bar that if you touch anything, it "thinks" you have taken something and consumed it (pet peeve). I stayed here while my wife had a multi-day stay at UW Hospital. The hotel is new and very well maintained and clean. The breakfast options are nice and the restaurant and bar (closed while I was there in early Jan) look good too. The location is amazing! It's across the street from a Super Target, Metcalf's grocery store, and the Hilldale mall, so there is a lot to do during an extended stay and many good restaurants are close by. The heated parking ramp is a nice luxury during the winter as well. The staff was friendly and very helpful with a few odd requests that I had. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are staying more than a couple nights.

It is always an excellent experience at SpringHill Suites in Madison, WI. We have been guests there dozens of times since they opened in 2020, and each stay is always exceptional. The facility is extremely clean and well-appointed. The staff is well-trained, friendly, and professional, and the property is exceptionally well managed. It is a pleasure to stay there when we visit Madison, and we appreciate everything about the hotel.

I must say, this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in the Madison area. Despite having tried over a dozen hotels in Madison, this one stands out as the absolute best. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the rooms were spotless and well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast was fine, and the parking was a bonus at $25, with the added convenience of in-and-out privileges. The location was also perfect, making it easy to explore the city and create a memorable weekend.

How am I supposed to stay at a "normal" hotel after staying here? Honestly gives that 5 star vibe from a non-5 star hotel chain. Only problem was the freaking packers game was on peacock which, through contractual issues I'm sure, the hotel couldn't display on their TVs at the bar. Had to jury rig an agreement with another guest to watch it with him on his iPad. But thats more a commentary on the issues with NFL broadcasting rights than with the hotel. Great time though.
