AC Hotel Madison Downtown

I haven’t stayed at this hotel, but I have encountered the staff. Recently, my friend and I had our car towed in front of the hotel. After walking up and down a few different streets to confirm that our car was parked where we thought it was, we went inside the hotel to ask if they had seen any tow trucks recently. After confirming that there had been a tow truck, we spoke to (who I’m assuming) was the manager working at the time. He explained to us that we were parked, along with one other car, in a spot that had been reserved for a hotel bus. I would say that we were very polite and partially confused in the beginning of the interaction. We had a lake view room and the view was outstanding. The room needed more furniture however- there was no place for two people to sit other than the bed. View from the 10th floor restaurant of the Capital was great too as was the food, but at 5PM on a Monday we were told we could get a table and needed to sit by the bar- even though there were 25-30 percent of the tables open during our entire dinner. The breakfast was very sparse with only some salami slides as meat choices. Overall great location and view but expected more from an AC property.

I stayed here the night before my wedding. I booked the Executive Suite so that me and all the ladies in my wedding party had plenty of room to get ready. The room was incredible. It was huge, and gave us plenty of space to get ready, relax and take photos. It's super modern feel with huge windows was exactly fit everything about my wedding and how I wanted the day to be captured. I had been in frequent communication with the staff to ensure that we had a high floor room and they delivered! Our room was on the 7th floor and had the most beautiful views of the Capitol and the lake. The staff seriously went above and beyond in so many ways to be sure that we were loving our stay. I always love staying at the AC in Downtown Madison. The views are great, the location is perfect and Heather, the bartender on the first floor is awesome! She knows me by name and always remembers my favorite drink. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the capital. Beds were comfy. We passed on the “European” style breakfast that only had cold cuts, oatmeal-no eggs kinda thing. Didn’t think it was worth $15.
