Hampton Inn & Suites Madison Downtown

I've stayed in Madison many times, but this is my first stay at this Hampton. It has to be one of the best (and nicest) Hamptons I've stayed out. The vibe of the hotel hallways and rooms definitely feels like much more of an elevated hotel. This is one of the few Hilton properties I've stayed at where digitial check-in and the digital key work well for everything - parking lot, elevator, room. The room I stayed in was one of the nicer ones with lots of windows and a corner view of the campus. Hotel staff were also very friendly. I didn't get a chance to use the fitness or pool and hot tub facilities, but they also appeared to be nice and in good working condition. Breakfast was a very standard Hampton breakfast - nothing to write home about - and in fact there might have actually be

The rooms are spacious and clean, overall it's quiet. I wouldn't call the breakfast great, but it is there and it is hot. I'm disappointed that I called in advance to ask questions and one of those questions was is there a pool, and they said yes, but it's been out of service my entire trip. The activity I came to this city to do requires being on my feet for 10+ hours,.and since there is a shower but no tub, I had hoped to relax in the hot tub, perhaps take a swim. I bought a swimsuit specifically for this. Not a single day of this trip has it been open which is annoying. Also important to note: no safe in the room.

Friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast choices, and enough room in our double queen suite to play board games with our two college kids and our high-schooler. The hot cocoa bar was a great addition, with peppermint candies, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, marshmallows, and flavored syrups. This hotel understands that little things make a big difference. Great stay!

Positive: The temperature was maintained so there was not a noisy machine operating while we were sleeping. It was close to the activities we were doing while there. Negative: High parking rate. That should have been disclosed at the time we were booking this hotel. The man that checked us in was not friendly. We found other staff members to be very pleasant and helpful.

Stayed for 1 night last week. Front desk staff was fantastic. Very happy with the complimentary water and very satisfied with parking. Was worried since I drive a truck but there was more than enough space! And there were about 5-6 electrical outlets on the desk! Wow!
