SpringHill Suites by Marriott Boston Andover

The rooms are laid out poorly with the TV away from the living area and a closet tucked into a corner that’s blocked by a bed. Makes no sense. The lighting is quite bad as well. You can hear every step taken in the room above. The bed is comfortable and the room is clean.

Where to start with this one. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but this was a bit extreme. Upon arrival everything was good only to find out after getting into the room there was no hot water as the circulator pump went bad. It was not unit after 10:00pm did it get fixed. After going back to the front desk to tell them that the room had no hand soap, no shampoo, no coffee,cups. There was nothing in the room. The front desk person created me with a “what do you want now” after giving me a few items I went back to the room. The next morning I was finally able to take a shower but unlike other Marriott hotels the how water took literally 20 min to get to the room. The free breakfast was horrible. They had watery scrambled eggs and a toaster that didn’t toast. I can go on with other is

Positive: The staff is very friendly and helpful! The rooms are clean. Breakfast included with price of the room is a nice benefit. Having a fitness center open 24 hrs was also nice. Negative: The hot water is not consistent: lukewarm shower but extremely hot water from sink. A little more variety on the breakfast bar would have been nice (even just bacon instead of sausage one day, cheese for the eggs, etc).

Nice place, very comfortable rooms and amenities including a shop, pool, and free breakfast. My room was cool and spacious, way more room than I needed which is always appreciated! Staff was friendly and got me checked in fast. The hotel is completely tucked away from the rest of the area, which makes for a quiet location but if you are hoping for stores/food that you can walk to, look elsewhere. There is a gas station and food spots within an easy drive. The one downside of staying here for me was that the parking lot was a nightmare, I had to park quite far away because there were numerous large pickups and trucks taking up multiple parking spots and parking on the curb. They could benefit from adding designated parking for trucks and larger vehicles.

Pros...Well appointed and comfortable rooms. Cons.... If you'd like to sleep past 8am, be sure to place the hangtag on your door. If not, the maids will knock loudly on your door, as though you've stayed past your welcome. (Check out is at 11 am)
