SpringHill Suites by Marriott Bentonville

I had asked for a 20-30 percent discount due to power loss at the hotel; they said no. Why? Because I still slept in the room. No regard to the fact that it’s relatively commonplace to get a discount in that situation. Additionally, no other amenities were available—amenities that were included and advertised as part of the stay’s experience. They did not have available WiFi, or pool, or even the continental breakfast usually provided in the mornings. None of that—just a poor nights sleep. Apparently the owner, who remains nameless throughout this situation, feels that’s worthy of a full price. Maybe he believes that’s the Springhill Suites customer experience.

Our focus for this hotel was purely to sleep as we were visiting family and not able to spend much time here. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, however the room had a few issues. Despite some of the reviews here, the pillows were not fluffy and were as flat as a pancake, making sleeping very challenging. The biggest issue was the shower. Upon arrival, we noticed black mildew in the corners along the ceiling and although there was not much of it, we were curious as to how it got there. We didn't have long to wait. Our first night there, my 10-year old son took a shower first and the water pressure was so strong, that he was crying due to the pain. The water coming out of the shower head felt like metal B.B.s. Room was clean and comfortable. Kitchen/ maintenance staff was kind and pleasant. Nice room and affordable. The front desk staff could be more professional. They looked like they belonged in a cheap motel. Not really attentive, sitting on their cell with their hoodie. Otherwise, it was a clean and comfortable room. My only gripe is that it took muscle to turn on the knob for the shower, so maintenance needs done on that. And their policy is to discriminate against the unvaccinated.

A very nice home in a convenient location..What I liked. 1..Nice size room 2..Super friendly checkin..Happily accommodated our request to be on the 3rd floor. 3. Beds are firm which we like 4..Very quiet 5..great kitchenette in room 6. like how the sink and toilet are separate. this Hotel is the wurst I e stayed in ever!!!!!!!! It smells like cigarettes and marijuana, The rooms are damp and smell like mold. The hotel Nextdoor has people and cops outside 90% of the time with something going on. Staff is very rude and they charged my card more than what I Authorized at time of checkin. Do not stay here!!! I would like to add a few more comments after the Manager of this hotel replied. I have no doubt about this being the correct hotel. I plan to upload some recipes bellow that you can review about the over charging ( night of checkin I was told $40 security deposit was due, then the next night of my stay they charged my card on file an additional $10) and remind you this is a full day before I was to checkout.
