Spartanburg Marriott

First let me say that the front desk staff is amazing, but they deserve to work in a better hotel. If JW Marriott must me rolling in his grave. This hotel was once a beautiful place is now a dump. Mold in the bathroom. Hello, 1990 is calling, they want their decor back. TV. did not work. The beds are awful. No glasses in the bathrooms to rise your mouth out. The furniture is dilapidated. Housekeeping service is non-exist. My husband and I always tip the staff. I think the staff should tip me for staying in such a filthy place. The one redemanding factor was the food. However, I think the Chef can do better than this hotel. As well as the front desk staff. I am shocked that the Marriot corporation allows this.

The room was lovely. Front desk staff very nice. However, when I stay at a Marriott and order breakfast room service I expect it to come on a tray with ceramic plates, real flatware and glassware. For $100 for 4 eggs, some hash browns, ketchup, bacon, milk and coffee to come in take-out cardboard boxes and a paper bag for room service at a Marriott is in my humble opinion pretty disappointing. Do better Marriott.

First the staff from the front desk to the dinning areas are top notch! Now my room...the room was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. But the decor needs updating. I was put in a room across from the ice machine and by the elevators. I was there for business and went back to the front desk after dinner to see if my room could be switched out. I was told that all the rooms were booked for the night and I was immediately given complimentary free breakfast during my stay for the inconvenience. Thank you so much! ❤️

Decent rooms, a little worn, but decent still. Comfy bed, have breakfast available, but, pricey compared to local, whats available. Also, came here for an event, this place could make more if they were better prepped to handle the workload, after the show, they kept telling people the kitchen is closed, then the bar closed down kind of early also. Is ok, but, they are leaving money on the table here, big time. Would stay again for another event, but, then just go to a local bar instead after the show. Or a place serving food anyway. Or both. Great attentive staff, great free parking underneath, mediocre on drink mixing, but, tolerable.
