Sonesta Select Spartanburg

I was pleasantly surprised by just how nice the place was. The beds were super comfy, the towels were big and fluffy, and the shampoo and conditioner they give you smells so good and makes your hair super soft and shiny. My only downside was they serve breakfast at 7am instead of 6am, so early workers like me kinda miss out. Great staff, very clean, will definitely stay again.

Don't want to penalize them for renovating so I gave them five stars because there's service / hospitality was very good. There is an issue however with maid service on a Tuesday housekeeping did not give us a fresh set of towels nor did the house person/ hospitality even check in about my second day. We did go to the desk we were given a set of fresh towels.

Please do not believe this place is clean. Me and my husband were driving through and what a dump. Our room was not cleaned thoroughly. The room had a weird smell to it. There were furniture peeling on the floor. This is not safe for children and fur babies. The shower was very dirty and the bathroom had genital hairs on the floor. Gross!!! We left literally now and did not bother to complain. If you are a clean person this not for you.

The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated and front desk staff were warm and welcoming. My room was located on the first floor and had a large window and sliding glass door to the nicely kept courtyard and pool. The bedding was soft and comfortable. It can be a bit difficult to find initially but I would definitely stay here again.

The people at the reception are really nice. Rooms are okay, not equipped with much microwave, small refrigerator or any other useful things though. Breakfast was good. But the only lady at the reception was taking care of both the reception activities and breakfast supply. So supplies were running short and people were just waiting to get even a cup of coffee...:(
