Residence Inn by Marriott Spartanburg

This property is SUUUUUPER dated and needs serious updating. Furniture is worn. Carpet is worn. Bathrooms are dated. The kitchen is sub par and whoever cleaned my room last, put dirty dishes back in the cabinet. The WiFi barely works. The “fitness center” is like a closet with a treadmill. Very ill equipped. But I will say, the staff is very friendly. Nina was swamped when I arrived and got me checked in quickly and smoothly. Nell was awesome every morning among sure that breakfast was out even a few minutes early. And anything I needed, she was there to get in a jiff. Overall: staff great. Property lacking. EDIT: the manager called me to ask me how she could make my stay better based on this review. I told her I understood that she had zero control over the outdated nature of the prope

I usually stay here whenever I have a business trip to Spartanburg. The location is super convenient — just a few minutes to get on the interstate.The courtyard is quiet and relaxing, and it really feels like a nice neighborhood.On the downside, I didn’t love the room design. The soundproofing wasn’t great either — footsteps from the room above made it hard to sleep sometimes.Breakfast starts at 6:30, but the options were pretty limited.Overall, it’s a decent place if you need a quick and convenient stay.

Location is excellent and convenient; check-in was quick and easy; room was in fine condition with no problems; layout of the facility is pleasant and private. The best part was the breakfast - and not just because it was free! I found out that the food was prepared by an exceptional lady whose name is Nell. Unlike many motel breakfasts of this type, even at other Marriott properties, it was clear that the breakfast was produced by someone who really cares. The scrambled eggs were NOT dry and hard, but soft and creamy; the biscuits were obviously homemade, and the entire room was clean and neat. I will stay here again just for Nell's breakfast!

Great hotel and staff . Right off of interstate which makes convenient when pulling a trailer. High five to Nilda, Renee, and Dama for being a great staff at breakfast to talk to .Not recommended for longer than 24 ft bumper pull trailer due to entrance and exit.

Worst hotel I have stayed in for a work trip. The appearance is fine, however it smelled like smoke. The kitchen was not clean and I could not bring myself to use it. Checked in on a Monday and out Friday, they did not clean room once. I needed towels and toilet paper. You can hear everything around you. And, the air conditioner makes a loud noise all night long. Never again
