Spark by Hilton St. Louis Southwest

We had unexpected car trouble while traveling with our four kids and needed a place to stay last minute. The staff at Spark Hotel were incredibly kind and understanding during a stressful situation. They even graciously allowed us to stay past checkout while our car was in the shop, which was a huge help for our family. A special thank you to Katlyn and Debbie for their kindness and hospitality. Their care and flexibility truly made a difficult day much easier. We’re very grateful!

Positive feedback|- clean, comfortable bed|- good coffee in room|- average breakfast ||Negative feedback|- bathroom was not clean. More specifically, the toilet was dirty and the stool wouldn’t flush. |- the conditioner dispenser was empty|- the threshold entering the bathroom is a trip hazard. It’s higher than the floor on either side of it.|- our biggest complaint has to do with the furniture and decor of the room. We have stayed in many Hampton Inns all over the country and this one is by far our worst experience. The room felt cold and sterile. The chair provided was small and uncomfortable. The bedside tables were bare. The artwork on the wall was super modern/contemporary. Nothing about the room was warm and inviting.|- after a long day attending a family funeral, we entered o

Not thrilled about the location, even though it was chosen for its proximity to the highway. The coffee on offer was Folgers, which has moved me use the Camocho(?) machine in the room. Better instructions on use would have been helpful. Insufficient number of cups supplied. The Welsh teas (breakfast and green) was a new brand to me. The yogurt machine was different in but unfortunately did not allow a way to eliminate sugar, as it offered no choices. Alas, no hot breakfast options. While the location is convenient to the I-44, the hilly area makes it difficult to access a gas station. There is a concrete barrier to the accessing the station near the eastbound access to I-44 and the other station is a touch more accessible. Neither are recommended.

We recently used this hotel as housing for a small corporate event we hosted (September 2025). Despite the hotel being under renovation/construction it was a great experience. Jeremy the manager and his staff went above and beyond to ensure our group had everything we needed they were super accommodating in making sure our rooms were ready and cleaned when we needed them. I can't wait for the renovations to be over for their sake!!! The property is also conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. A a big shout-out to Leanne their group contact for helping us navigate the room block and securing a meeting room for us. THANK You Jeremy & Hampton Inn team-we hope to see you next year.

Positive: Location Negative: Room was ice cold. Took a long time to warm up after increasing temp. Also, no chair(s) in my room except a metal desk chair that was extremely heavy. Price is too high if you're in the process of renovations to Spark.
