Spark by Hilton Augusta

You get what you pay for unfortunately. Was on a business trip and stay at the other hotels in area and decided to check this one out. The area is not nice. Shares parking lot with extended stay. People linger by the doors smoking and I felt uncomfortable using the back door because of that (even though it was close to my room). Smoke smell in hallways. The room was fine but no cups or coffee maker. Shower was fine. Looked like they tried to make it look fresh and clean like Hilton would be. Breakfast was fine, bagels and eggs that actually were decent. Unfortunately when I was on my way out a man tried to talk to me while I was in my car. He was loitering around maybe from extended stay. Completely freaked me out. Will not stay here again. Definitely not a hotel for business trips.

My husband and I stayed at this location twice. It is inexpensive, but not Hilton quality. ||First time: Hallway and breakfast area were uncomfortably warm. Not the best quality of remodeling. Water pressure not the greatest. A little concern about the area. ||Second time: Same experience, although breakfast area was hot. More concern about the surrounding area. Also found the rear outside door to the stairway was left ajar (the regular rear door that unlocked with key card was fine). I properly closed the door to the stairway. ||Upon checking out later that morning, I wasn’t asked how my stay was, nor asked if I wanted a printed copy of my receipt vs email copy. Anyhow, I told the woman I wanted to share some concerns I had with our stay (later learned she was the manager). I advised this

I book the day before arrival. The value was good and free breakfast. Since this is a Hilton property I felt pretty confident the accommodations would meet my expectation. The I read the reviews. I felt ugh, but it was only for one night. I must say that the bad reviews were not helpful. I found the facility clean, room fine, Bath a little outdated but so what. Breakfast was OK, but they ran out of tea. I survived. I would stay there again. Very convenient location. Yes there are several other hotels right on that street too

Positive: Nothin Negative: Shady location, people walking around, room smelled like smoke, worried someone would jump me, no ice container, shower holder didn?t work, pillows terrible. Worst spark I have ever been too, wanted my money back when I pulled into the hotel

Well I can't tell you about the room yet because after a 4 hour drive I can't check in till 3 on the dot. Lesson learned there. I'll never go back because of that reason. I'll definitely be back to this post about the rooms condition. The room was quite nice actually. he TV was large and I was able to log in my streaming service. The refrigerator didn't work very well at all and no thermostat.
