Instead of staying at chain hotels, I've started finding B&Bs & guest houses. The price is comparable and you find some great places. This is one of those places; the rooms are beautiful, parking is great. Instead of a generic hotel bar, they have a tavern type bar under the building. Excellent selection of craft beers and liquor. They do music most nights; the music the night I was there was fantastic. The owner, Melinda, and her bartender Candace are the only two employees. They make a great duo and are super friendly to chat with. Now I have to find an excuse to visit Augusta more often so I can stay here again and again!

Great atmosphere, great drinks, great music. We went to the basement to see my friend perform. Friendly staff, great crowd.

This place was absolutely fabulous. Check in. It was easy. The rooms were wonderful. The atmosphere of the inn was fabulous. The Fox's Lair was awesome! Live music. Great drinks. We had a blast. Excellent prices. Stayed here for a concert at the Bell auditorium and it was perfect. We walked to the auditorium, had great concert and walked back to the layer for more live music and then just walked right upstairs to go to bed. It could not have been more perfect.

First the good, the room itself was lovely very well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the fact that there was a refrigerator in the microwave in the room. The lady bartender was very sweet and friendly. Now .the not so good; when we first arrived, I thought we had done something wrong. We arrived at the time we said we were going to arrive and we went in the back where the signs were pointing but the owner seemed annoyed, her greeting was not welcoming. Although she did warm up a bit but after travelling four hours a smile and a welcome would have been nice. Also as others have said it’s a B&B but not a bed and breakfast, it’s a bed and bar. There were only two packaged snacks, no free drinks, no breakfast, for $169 this doesn’t seem to be a deal. And if you don’t li
