Hyatt House Augusta / Downtown

Stayed at this hotel to meet up with family as we were all traveling from out of state to visit family in the nearby area. This was our first stay at a Hyatt property and unfortunately, it left a poor impression. We’ve always been loyal to Hilton, and after this experience, we’re unlikely to stray from them in the future. As someone who is handicapped, I was disappointed by the lack of ADA compliance in our room. The corridors felt narrow compared to the spacious ADA rooms at Hilton properties. The only accessible feature seemed to be a detachable shower/tub seat left on the bathroom floor. The sliding barn doors to the bathroom were heavy and often got stuck, making it hard for me to open them independently. I was impressed that the desk clerk was ready with my keys in hand for my (delayed) 3 a.m. arrival. All she needed to do was check my drivers license, hand me the keys, and thank me for being a World of Hyatt member. Then off to bed in a room that had one of the quietest headers/airconditioning units I've experienced in the past year. Everything was clean and inviting. I'll definitely plan to stay here again.

We had a good stay at Hyatt House Augusta / Downtown. The hotel is in a convenient location, though the area feels a little rough around the edges. Our room was solid—comfortable and clean, though not particularly fancy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was quite good. We did run into an issue with our key card at check-out and were locked out, and the front desk couldn’t resolve it, but housekeeping was able to assist, so it wasn’t a major problem. Overall, it’s a practical and reasonably priced option if you need a convenient downtown location. Not the most luxurious stay, but solid and dependable.

STAY AWAY!!!!!!! Disappointing Stay – Serious Cleanliness and Maintenance Issues, Poor Resolution Stayed at Hyatt House Augusta Downtown in early March 2026 with family. Overall, the location is convenient downtown, and the staff were polite in person, but this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've had—especially from a Hyatt property. We were assigned two rooms (including Room 724), and both had significant cleanliness and maintenance problems that made the stay uncomfortable and unsafe at times: Visible bugs crawling on the walls in one room. Sticky residues (possibly old soda or spills) on multiple surfaces and floors. Extremely slippery floors, which felt like a real fall hazard, especially with kids. Marks, scuffs, chips, and general damage on walls and furnitu
