Mound kind of out of its place in the Lamar Valley, but worth taking a stop to see the valley before moving into the mountains
Glad we stopped to see this. Just beautiful! I took heaps of pics. Close-ups of the layers are really cool for rock needs such as myself. Stop and see it, even just fir a few minutes!
Cool rock formation located just off the side of the roadway. Make a stop, and explore this around all sides -- there's something interesting to see at every angle. Views of the valley, and mountain ranges are also beautiful! Well worth the trip out in the Lamar Valley.
It’s pretty in sunset time, especially when the gold sunrise shines on the mountains far away.
Soda Butte isn't enough in itself to make a trip out here. However, the surrounding area is beautiful and the wildlife is amazing!
