I've stayed at both the old and new RV parks and they are both great. The old park sites are closer together, but staggered so they're not too close. Lots of woods around each park. The new park is in the open but has concrete pads and very large spaces. For activities in SE part of Grand Loop, it's great. I wish there was one like it on NW side!
I really liked how they had the place set up. It was very clean and organized. Plenty of washers/dryers in working order. Someone was always there to help for anything. Showering was in a stall - I like closed door privacy best with sink/toilet/vanity. Also, had to have a card for showering- Odd! One shower a day. Little extreme for a campground. Was placed next to spot with lots of kids. Would been nice to have separate area for kids. We could hear them running in their camper while we were inside of ours. Overall it was fine.
We stayed at the Fishing Bridge RV park (Loop A) in early October through to their last day of operation and were very impressed! There is a main building with extensive laundry facilities, a very modern and sparkling clean bathroom/shower room, a small gift shop and information about the park. Everyone on the staff was super friendly and so helpful. The campground itself was well maintained, our site was level, and all the hookups worked well. The sites are very tight but when in Yellowstone there's no need to hang out in the campground anyway - there's way too much to see and do in the park! Fishing Bridge is a convenient location for a lot of the key sites in Yellowstone and the larger general store and gas station were close by and had all we needed. Loved the extensive recycling
At over $100/nigh for CAMPING, this should be the Taj Mahal, but it is not even average. Only one toilet and no shower at the site for many camp sites. No tables or chairs at the sites. Common showers are only at the entrance and insufficient. The campsites are very close to each other with no privacy. This is a classic captive audience monopoly, where the value for money is poor. The amenities level and site size should make it $40/night out in the real world. Great location of course. Staff were professional and nice.
Fishing Bridge RV Park is right in the middle of Yellowstone, perfect location! I would definitely recommend Loop E because it is the new loop. It had level cement pads with full hookups. Also more space between sites than the older loops. Nice big laundry room on site, which was handy. We also had daily visitors to our campsite - bison, deer and bear. The grizzly bears are very active this time of year, getting ready for winter. We stayed for a week, which I would recommend. We had never been to Yellowstone and didn’t realize how big the park was!
