Sleep Inn & Suites Shreveport near Medical Center

On the night of Thursday, Feb 19, and into Friday morning, we experienced a situation that I believe other Shriners families need to be aware of. There was significant hallway traffic that evening, and in the early morning I went downstairs to get coffee and breakfast. Four individuals—three males dressed as females and one female, all in revealing attire—came running into the lobby, shouting about someone taking their money, assaulting them, and mentioning a gun. My child witnessed much of this from the peep hole of our room and was understandably in panic. A man in one of the rooms was throwing the individuals out, yelling, punching, and a gun was knocked from someone’s hand and hit the floor, creating a real danger. My daughter and I stayed for one night before medical testing for one of her children. The lady at the desk, Mya, was so helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and quiet. I was slightly concerned about road noise since we faced I49, but mostly it was pretty quiet. We stayed in Room 410. There was a nice walk in shower with plenty of hot water and water pressure. We had use of a mini fridge and microwave. There was a desk with a chair and two queen beds which was just what we needed. In the morning a good breakfast was available, including scrambled eggs, link and sausage patties, grits, bottled water, yogurt, toast, etc. The coffee was pretty good and there was a good selection of creamers. Customer service was superb. Clean rooms and very friendly and accommodating. I was there for 6-7 nights due to my Father being in the hospital. I was unsure of my nights to stay and was able to extend my stay each day before checkout. Skylar and the staff worked with me so patiently. My Dad passed on Wednesday, November 12th and that was the day I checked out. Skyler was there that morning to help with an extension or check out. I informed her that my Dad passed and I was checking out. She warmly offered her condolences and asked if there was anything she could do for me! That kind of personal service goes a long way. I will be returning soon for funeral services and will definitely book rooms at Sleep In again!

I love this hotel. No pets allowed. It's in the medical district. You can go for a walk and feel super safe. They have heated pools, which is beautiful. Breakfast is always hot and ready. And the hotel staff is always nice and kind. I will be back.This is my spot when I come to shreveport louisiana

The gal at the front desk named Mya is very, very nice. It was nice to arrive to her smiling face and friendliness. The lady that does the breakfast in the mornings is very nice, too, but I'm absent-minded and didn't catch her name. ⚠️WARNING⚠️ There are 2 exit driveways for this hotel; only one of them allows for a left turn out onto Samford Ave. However, you can see where vehicles have gone out of the right-turn-only driveway and turned left over the median. The median has a very large and deep hole (maybe 3 feet in diameter?) in the center of it. Like, maybe there used to be a tree there or something and they didn't fill in the hole left behind... Anyway, if you defy the right-turn-only sign and decide to try to turn left there, you are going to do some serious front-end damage to y
