Hilton Shreveport

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. It was well equipped and offered everything that you needed. There is a small mini fridge in the room but no microwave. They provide a in room coffee maker and bottle water. The hotel has an amazing staff they are super friendly and very welcoming and accommodating. I would like to give especially high marks for Shekavian front desk manager, Abigail guest service manager, are simply amazing and super helpful and very accommodating. Johnny one of there bartenders super nice as well and makes an amazing espresso martini. Shekia who served me my amazing breakfast could not have been more helpful. I’m a Hilton Honors Gold member who has stayed at this property (Hilton Shreveport, LA) many times without a single issue. During my most recent stay, I was woken up at 11:30 PM by a call from the front desk demanding immediate payment for incidental charges and threatening to “send someone to the room” if I didn’t comply. This could’ve easily been handled the next morning at checkout.||What made it worse was how management responded — instead of acknowledging how inappropriate this was, they brushed it off as a “misunderstanding” and explained hotel policy. All in order, friendly staff / perhaps mire training needed for valet team. Good bathroom. Daily refurbishing of room. Great view of city & Red River.

The hotel itself is nice but the rooms can use a little updating. The staff are warm and welcoming! My 5 star review is mainly based on the service at the bar and the food! Madison our bartender was wonderful and the drinks were delicious!!! We had the seafood platter and the boudin egg rolls and everything was delicious!! We are Hilton Honors members and we will definitely be returning!

So this hotel is in a nice location – my room was on the ninth floor on the market street side so I had a great view of the city. The room was fairly clean. I had no issues with how the staff conducted business. However, when I walked into the room, the room smelled musty, bad odor I think probably due to the carpet. It was hard to sleep because the HVAC unit was loud. And I couldn’t take a shower because the tub had spots of rust. The water would not drain and so for that reason my rating is a two star for this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel because it’s not completely luxury in my opinion and I would likely not be staying there again unless they renovate the place i.e. remove the carpet. Remove the tub and just have a real nice walk-in shower.
