Sleep Inn & Suites Redmond

We spent a couple of nights here during a recent trip to Redmond. The location was good, right across the road from a Walmart Supercenter and commercial district which included all kinds of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Plenty of free parking as well. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, a bit bigger than standard hotel rooms. All the mod cons were available including a good heater, fridge, microwave, TV and good internet. The bathroom was large and could easily handle 2 people at once. The elevator was a bit on the slow side but there were only 3 floors to the hotel so no big deal. This is a newish hotel, with spacious rooms (and bathrooms). We liked the included breakfast, and all the extras in the room - coffee, shampoo/conditioner. We also appreciated the late checkout time of 11am. The location of this hotel is superb, being across the road from several fast-food places (McDonalds, Sonic Burger, Panda Express), Walmart, and other shops. Unfortunately the 2 pieces of weight equipment in the little gym were both out of order, although the stairmaster and treadmill were still functioning.

March 25th, 2025..., this was my first stay at a Sleep Inn & Suites in this location. I frequent this hotel all over the US and recognize the signature leaves motif from the hotel glass doors and from the lobby to the rooms on the comforter set. Now during my room tour that I do I was taken aback by the coffee maker being in the bathroom. Not something that I appreciate or would want or would think any guess would want. But I did appreciate it that it was available in the room as well as a mini refrigerator and microwave. With that said It was unfortunate that my TV remote had no backing and no kind of tmporary solution like electric black tape to keep the batteries in place. After driving for over five hours to reach the hotel, we were met with shockingly rude and unprofessional behavior from the front desk staff. Instead of basic courtesy, they showed a hostile attitude going so far as to treat my 6year daughter disrespectfully when she politely asked for a complimentary cookie. That alone reflects a serious lack of training and basic decency. After an exhausting drive, this behavior was unacceptable. Given the complete absence of empathy especially toward a child. I requested to cancel my reservation and took my business to another hotel. This experience was a complete waste of our time after such a long journey and should never happen to paying guests.

I used my rewards points for my parents stay at this hotel for Christmas and was not able to use the pool because the front desk agent said my children were not allowed to swim in the pool. My parents were not swimming in the pool, but their grandchildren wanted to go swimming and was not allowed to because they weren’t considered guests at the hotel. The other Choice Hotels that we stayed at allowed them go swimming in the pool. We will not be doing business with this particular hotel anymore in this area. We will use the Choice Hotel south of town. I was not recognized as a rewards member and was scrutinized for using my points for a local stay by the team member that checking me in. My children were pretty disappointed about not using the pool because they wanted to show their grandma
