Silver Sands Motel

Outside appearance seemed fine. It was dark so rather difficult to really tell. We arrived about 10:30 pm. A lady that could barely speak English told us $75.00. Ok! Not a bad price. Room was large with one queen bed which none of the linen matched. Door had a broken lock. Carpet and furniture was filthy. Bathroom was disgusting dirty. Hair in the shower & on floor. Dirty oil was present on the shower tiles. I went back to the office to say we just couldn’t stay in the room as it was so dirty. The lady walked back to the room with me where she proceeded to tell me it was clean and linen were freshly washed! |She decided to give us another room. She’d bring the key for the new room. She never came back. After 30 minutes I went to the office door and it was locked. I rang the bell. No answer

Half of the rooms are condemned. The room was not what I expected 😞 a waste of money because we didn't even stay there it was that bad.

This place does not even deserve a one star! Awful place! Everything was filthy. The carpet, the walls, doors, unmatched curtains, stained shhets, you name it pure filth! It was so bad it was hilarious! Still laughing now at how amazingly bad it was. Lesson learnt, if in doubt always request to look at the accommodation first especially if you turn up on the spur of the moment. They even had the cheek to ask for a $5 dollar key deposit, which they conveniently tried to forget!

Honestly, I wouldn't even give this place one star. I have NEVER had so many problems at a motel in my life! First off, the owner, An elderly Chinese man was borderline sexual harassing me, sticking his tongue out and telling me to stop by later for champagne. If it wasn't my job to report this, I would have left right then and there. The first room looked clean and decent, until I opened the closet door. There was black mold growing on the walls and ceiling and the carpet was damp. I switched to a room in the back with a kitchen. At night it was impossible to sleep from all the loud noises from the people staying there. That night I witnessed the owner bring in two prostitutes to his room, meanwhile a scary looking obese woman with piercings all over her face in room 23 dealing drugs all

This place rented me a room that had blood on the wall in bathroom and after spending two hours cleaning the room myself and $80.00 I went to take a shower only to find that the plumbing didn't work and the shower had sewage backing up into the shower. Asked for refund and got a WAY BETTER SEMI DECENT room. Heck of a night! 😵
