Silvanmere

The information provided says the site is 5.6 miles from the Dunraven Trailhead and the hike would take 5-6 hours. Our GPS showed it was 6.9 miles and it actually took us 8 hours. We are not expert hikers but we’re healthy adults who exercise and were very surprised the hike took a solid 8 hours. Along the trail there are no markers to let you know you’re going in the right direction, how far away the park boundaries are, or where we were in general. At the North Boundaries Trail intersection we finally saw a sign to let us know Silvanmere was .4 miles away, which was a relief. This site is not a scenic site. There’s no view, just trees. I was pretty disappointed we hiked all that way just to be in the middle of the trees. Yes, you can see from the map it is in the trees but what you see
