Sheraton Sonoma Wine Country Petaluma

Firstly, the parking fee is 15 dollars per day (ridiculous), so add that to the price. The room was old, not particularly clean even by hotel standards, and I could clearly hear my neighbours kids arguing about what movie they wanted to watch, as the walls are super thin. The shower/bath was super nice though. The location is nice and the breakfast was tasty(but not free). The lady hostess working at the breakfast was super sweet, and was a highlight of the otherwise mid hotel.

It all started with arrival at a dimly lit parking lot and an entryway that made it seem like it was closed down. A strange first for a Marriott brand. Upon entering it was a ghost town. Nobody at 6pm on a Saturday. The receptionist was nice and efficient. The hotel seems almost eerie and dead. It does however seem well maintained visually (didnt use any amenities) and very very clean. I had a great night sleep and actually enjoyed my stay. Other than how odd the lobby is I have nothing negative to say. I would stay here again.

Simply Amazing Experience. I stayed here over Valentine's Day 2026. I almost didn't stay here because of the reviews. Let me tell you they were totally wrong, the staff has been nothing but helpful. Amazing property, very clean and honestly modern. I don't know what a 2026 hotel is supposed to look like, but it exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly. They have a Starbucks right inside the lobby. Sure, the water pressure was a little low, but the hot tub made up for it. I highly recommend this place and don't worry about the reviews. The staff are very friendly, very great location in town all around a total win. Don't let the reviews worry you, this is a great place!!! 5 Star to all the staff. NOT a good choice. |1. First assigned room had defective wall climate (heat/ac) control panel.|2. Went down to front desk 2nd time and was told to try using the control panel on system below the windows. It was also defective (worthless).|3. Third visit to front desk, I was given new room key AND told that I had to make a 4th trip to front desk to return the defective room key (no staff available to save me from repeat front desk visits). |4. Replacement room had working heat/ac BUT the system was so noisy, I barely got any sleep that night.

Positive: the pillows were great. room was clean and nice Negative: the carpet is gross and needs to be taken out
