Overall, this hotel offers everything we expected. Self-parking and breakfast are complimentary. The hospitality from the staff is professional and excellent. This hotel was one of the more unique places we’ve stayed. At first the layout felt unusual, long hallways lined with columns every 10–20 feet, but later we learned the building was a converted historic silk mill, which made everything make sense. The renovation does a great job preserving the character of the building, including antiques from the mill and even the old water tower structure outside. The property feels new and well maintained while still keeping its history intact. Our room was smaller than a typical hotel room, but perfectly comfortable for two people. My biggest hotel test is always the shower, and this one passed easily: excellent water pressure and simple controls (a surprisingly rare combination). Check in was easy enough by the very friendly front desk staff (the app failed to work for easy check-in with digital key, unfortunately). The hotel has an elevator. Over all the hotel has an industrial vibe, which leaves it a bit cold feeling--especially on a grey autumn day.||The room was fairly dim, even with all the lights on. Upon entry the room was quite chilly, and the heater (only in the entry hall) took a long while to heat the room. The room itself was decent. The bed was very comfortable and had nightstands & power outlets on both sides--perfect for two people to charge devices at bedside! The room had a mini fridge, coffeemaker, iron & ironing board. Positive: The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We checked in an hour early. The room had plenty of clean towels.We only stayed one night as this was not our final destination. Staying one night was fine. Negative: The room was really cold and musty. The sofa that had the pull out bed did not look very clean. The breakfast provided was pretty tasteless but they kept the area clean.
