Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel

I enjoyed my stay here. I played at Stanford University with the Morgan Freeman's Symphonic Blues Experience Tour and we stayed here. Great accommodations. The food and drinks at the bar was phenomenal. Our table had the Chile garlic chicken wings, short rib grilled cheese, seafood stew, garlic fries, pork chops, hot wings and it all was good. Really good. The breakfast buffet was good and I was able to get my coffee and sit by the beautiful pool

Stayed here for 3 nights for business, spending time at Stanford.||Didn’t get a room immediately as I checked in at 12pm. This was fine but I never received an email to tell me my room was ready (as they can’t send a text message to a non-US number).||Didn’t spend too much time at the hotel except for sleeping, apart from a couple of sessions|In the bar with colleagues.||The bar, drinks and food, was well priced.||Pool looked great but didn’t get a chance to use it.||Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very large and modern. The shower in particular was large.||All in all, a good stay.

Positive: Location, amazing bed and pillows, layout Negative: The room I was in (2024) was located near the stairs and elevator so it was really loud. Also, I think my room was located directly above a generator or utility closet because every hour this loud machine noise would come on disrupting my sleep.

Front desk team is helpful, kind, & quick. Heated pool with a deep-end of at least 8ft, don’t remember exact depth, but it was nice to not be all 4ft. Parking lot is shared with The Westin, plenty of space. For Sheraton Lounge, call ahead to check if renovation is completed. Food & services at the Poolside restaurant is 5/5

Competent hotel. Room is well equipped with amenities etc. For the price charged it falls a bit short - Service - breakfast. The opposite of pro-active. Ask if you want a coffee. Wait to be seated etc - Parking. You are instructed to drop your room key at reception for Speedy Checkout. You get to the parking barrier and guess what. You need your key. Wait in line for reception behind guests checking in… get another key made… does not work. Rinse repeat. - Guest Folio. reception can only provide the folio for the extras, not the main stay. So how do I claim it back on expenses ? - Attitude. It’s a bit chippy, as you might say in the UK. Try staying in a hotel in Asia and see the difference
