Hotel Citrine, Palo Alto, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

A nice hotel with modern rooms and a good brandnew gym. Breakfast was very nice and in particular Glenda was offering a very professionell service, creating a friendly welcoming atmosphere.

We spent a night at this hotel for date night. The location is very nice and quiet. The staff was also kind and professional. Our room was very nice on the 5th floor with a nice balcony and a relaxing view. It was clean but the toilet wasn’t, as it looked like someone finished “using it” upon our arrival. There was also a pretty good sized spider crawling up on the wall by the vent. We had to use a chair to send it to spider heaven and hopefully the cleaning team removed his remains from the corner of the ceiling as it is visibly noticeable. Although we stayed for one night, it was pretty quiet and there was no noise disturbance (not even from the street). Outside of the critter, we had a pleasant stay. Very nice hotel. Clean modern rooms, comfortable beds, good shower, nespresso machines, beautiful terrace, friendly service. Only downside is a bit of a mess with the parking, only valet is allowed. But valet is sometimes there sometimes not. I came by car everything was empty but I was not allowed to park and was supposed to leave my cell phone number and he would call me back (?). Anyway, I would definitely come back. Very nice hotel if you stay for business.

Horrible, horrible wifi in rooms for a 4-star hotel. Days Inn has better & reliable wifi in their rooms!! Lobby wifi is not much better. Very weak with all guests on their phone. Guest-citrine wifi access is not good. Ask front desk for micro-palo wifi password. Much better access. Food: ordered breakfast from bar/pseudo restaurant. Breakfast (huevos rancheros) was cold for takeout. Bagel with cream cheese was NOT toasted, but microwaved. Hard upon reaching room and eating. Menu is $20-30. Better to get valet car & eating out!!
