Shearwater Cove

Shearwater Cove was unbelievable in every fashion- breathtaking, therapeutic, and filled with genuine people- the owners, Jason & Charity, greeted us at the beginning of our trip and were just lovely. We opted for the food preparation option and Charity delivered- everything was just as requested. Jason boated us to Shearwater and was highly informative of the surrounding areas as we approached our destination. ||Once we arrived to Shearwater Cove, we were greeted by our Host, Cooper. I can't say enough good things about Cooper as he was helpful, knowledgable, informative, and just genuinely a good person. Shearwater Cove is truly breathtaking! From the boat ride in to the yurts to the outdoor showers and common spaces it’s incredible! My husband and I stayed for a couple days on our honeymoon and we had the most amazing time! We went sea kayaking, took a nap in the yoga common area with the sun beaming on our skin, saw so many sea otters, salmon, and plenty of other wildlife and sea creatures. Our host Cooper was so very kind, we even had a bonfire at one of the islands across from shearwater cove! It’s amazing here and you have to stay! The yurts are so cozy and even when we had a day full of rain outside we cozied up in our yurt with some tea and the sound of rain. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Love love love this place! :)

Had an amazing time during our stay. The yurts are very cozy and location could not be more scenic. The sea kayaking around the area was incredible with so much wild life to see. Cooper was an amazing host. 10/10 would love to stay there again.

This place is amazing! And, all the people who have a hand in running it, from Charity and Jason (owners); to Emily, the boat captain who met at the dock and got me safely there and back; Calle, the host who met me at Shearwatercove and made sure I was comfortable and took care of everything to make my stay memorable. Shearwater Cove is such a beautiful and unique way to experience the beauty and grace of this part of Alaska. I cannot truly express in words or pictures how special it is!

Every moment of our stay at Shearwater cove was incredible. We got picked up by Capt. Rachel on our way out to the property. Rachel was so kind, fun, and gave us amazing stories about her community in Seward. We were greeted by the serene cove and our amazing host, Cooper. I don't think you could as for a better host in someone than in Cooper. He is SO nice and hard working, and did so much to make our stay in Shearwater cozy and FLAWLESS. He was so great at helping us get familiar with the sea kayaks, and gave great recommendations on where to fish and take our kayaks out. The property is stunning, and the perfect place to step away from it all and relax in comfort and peace.
