Seward Military Resort

We've stayed in both the RV park and the yurts and enjoyed both experiences. You're conveniently located close to Seward and the grocery store. The facilities are kept so clean. Even when we visited on the 4th of July and it was busy, everything was kept tidy and didn't feel crowded.

We stayed in a hotel room for 6 days in July 2025. The people working there were super helpful and our stay was really nice and relaxing. As another person has said, it is a rustic gem. ||The rooms are basic, but comfortable and very clean. Because we were visiting at the height of tourist season, I really liked that the resort is a little ways outside of town out of the hustle bustle. yet a very short ride by car or via the free shuttle. ||There were two fish processing buildings. I didn't go in, but heard they are nice. There is a commnity room for families or groups to gather. It even had a fake fireplace someone turned on. ||The office/store has free coffee 24/7, snacks and apparel. There are outdoor seating areas, one with a firepit. We had a wonderful weekend at the resort! We spent our time just enjoying the town and the resort off-season in October. No where else are you going to find a motel room at those prices in Alaska! The staff at the desk were excellent friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. However, it would have been nice to know about the winter special when I was just booking the two rooms instead of finding out about it when we got down there. It is a great deal! The room was very nice and clean. The one improvement they could make would be to have a luggage rack in the rooms. That would have been helpful so we had a place for our suitcase. It looks like they do have rooms that have doors between them, so if you are a family who wants to have rooms next to each other, they have that option, if ava

We stayed here in one of the yurts over the summer. It was great for our family. Loved having access to nice, clean restrooms and the fish processing facilities were so convenient! We look forward to coming back in the future.

Great place to stay when out with the family! Far enough away to stay out of the bustle, close enough to get your steps in for a walk if you are so inclined. The front desk was very patient with the many questions I had (it was our first time here) and they were great at keeping us informed of events going on while in town. Will definitely be coming back and using the military resort for all of our Seward stays!
