Seahorse Oceanfront Lodging

This place is thoughly misrepresented online, beware! It's an older property which usually doesn't bother us because it can provide character. However, the moment we arrived and walked in the room we realized it was more than just an old property. One of the beds had dirty bedding still, dog prints and hair in the sheets. The other bed had a stained bed skirt. The bathroom toilet was dirty and a torn up almost used toilet paper roll. The shower curtain was extremely stained. The kitchenette fridge had all kinds of dog hair. The door barely sealed, we had to prop a chair up against it to stop the wind from shaking it. We booked it for the hot tub, but it was broken they never put on their website that it was broken. Then they said the pool was a warm 84°. It was not..teeth don't chatter in 84°. The bed was both hard and soft at the same time. We had to turn the heat up to 90 for 4 hours to.get the room slightly warm. Probably had to do with the inch gap on the door and the old heaters. We called the front desk for extra pillow and a blanket (because they just use one thin one). They said they had none because the motel was full, ok but why aren't you prepared? What hotel/motel doesn't have a bunch of extras? There was mold in the shower, Our form said we would have housekeeping. They never came. Instead we got a text at 11am that if we wanted new towels we had to put them outside our door...that's stra

The good: This place is right on the beach. It is SUCH a pretty location. The beach access stairs are right next to the hotel. The room we stayed in had a nice setup; there was a kitchenette, a separate room within the room for 1 of us to stay, and the room was big. It appears this hotel is also pet-friendly, as many people had their pets with them. The frustrating: The room wasn't very clean. The sheets and blankets were changed, but not much else was cleaned. The blinds on the window looking toward the ocean were broken and couldn't close; we had to hang a sheet over the window. The actual window also wouldn't close, so the room was COLD even with the heat on. The TV remote didn't work with the tv; it only changed the channels-powering on the tv or adjusting the volume had to be done o

Positive: The location was great. Negative: Hot water continuously ran in the tub, so the bathroom was always steamy. The floor next to the in-room jacuzzi had been wet so much that the tiles were completely loose. The floor at the end of the bed was rotting and soft.

This is the cutest place. There are many options if you have just you or extended family. We rented two rooms. One of them had just gotten remodeled. Which looked really nice and will be awesome when all the rooms get done. I almost did the two bedroom for us, ended up doing seperate and they accommodated our rooms to be close. Brandy and Tracy were the greatest. Greeted us by name. Was able to help with some local guidance. For checkout my grandson (17 months) was still napping and we asked and they had the availability at the time to give us an extra hour. Which with not having to wake him made our whole day of activities easier on everyone. Thankyou seahorse for a good night's rest 😊
