Sea Bay Hotel

We arrived at the hotel about 9:00 at night. The sign at the desk of the hotel said to go to the Best Western Plus to check in. That was an inconvenience. They put us in a room next to the elevator shaft so we had to listen to that all night. The bed had springs that I could easily feel through the sheets. The room was generally clean. I would recommend spending a little more and getting something nicer.

We love sea bay! Stayed there 2 weeks ago for the 4th time. Staff is amazing, any issues they will fix in a hurry. Food at restaurant is homestyle cooking and very good. That staff also wonderful! The only place we ever stay at OC! Thank you once again for making our trip perfect. God bless

No reservation desk at the hotel, instead a note informs you to check-in at sister hotel across parking lot. No notice of this prior to arrival or with regards to weather or effort. My room was the opposite of what I booked. Paid for bayside room with high floor request. Received 1st floor parking lot view. Took 50-min attempt to clear up the problem. Their solution- “pay extra” to receive correct room. Because I didn’t book directly with them all i received for help was “we can’t do anything” answer. They sure know what they “Can’t do” but very little about what they “Could do” or “Should do” to fix the booking issue. Ridiculous. The room itself had one positive, the view, which was my primary reason for choosing it. Everything else was terrible. Run down, dated in below average conditio

This was my 3rd week long stay at the Sea Bay. The first 2 years were excellent and Ive left raving reviews and recommended many people who have since stayed. I will say this stay was a disappointment. Our initial stay was from Sunday-Friday. Everything was great until I wanted to extend our stay til Saturday due to the bad weather through the week. Friday morning I went down to inquire about an extra night, the gentleman at the counter was more than pleasant and evaluated the cost to be the best price for me. He stated due to me being a military veteran and a frequent guest that he could give extend me for $235.00 after taxes. I ran up to get my wallet out of the room to pay. A classic good enough hotel. Room was clean enough though it is slightly overdue for a deep clean. Terrible construction and fixtures - I don't believe I've ever seen a cheaper shower head. Paint is peeling in many places. Furniture on the balcony is growing things. On the plus side the staff is nice, one of the two beds was supportive and not caved in, and the restaurant was actually okay. Check-in and the restaurant are at the Best Western across the parking lot. Despite my criticism, I would consider staying again, provided that the price is right.
