Sandy Square

We stayed in unit 305 and found it to be very satisfactory. It is a little bit dated, but everything worked except for the master bedroom vertical blinds! The rooms were spacious, and the beds were adequate. There is LVT throughout, which is not my favorite, but I just wore my socks the entire time! There were six of us in the unit and we had plenty of hot water. The furniture was comfortable, and the dining table was just the right size. If this unit is available next year, we will definitely rent from them again.

not going to lie, I never write reviews but this stay was pretty bad. There were small things like mildewy pillows, mold in the shower and lights not working, not great but not worth writing a bad review in my opinion. The worst part was on top of everything, they began construction in the unit above ours that was so loud, it sounded like it was being done in the apartment. This construction started at 10am and went on until at least 4 pm, drilling and hammering loud enough to make you cover your ears. It made it imposible to enjoy the room, much less sleep in or nap. I am incredibly with frustrated with this experience, on top of all the minor problems I experienced.

I waited three plus months before posting this as I was furious during my stay @ Sandy Square in October 2022. Now that I have calmed down, I will just state the issues I had... I exchanged my time share for a week here and because of the 3 bedrooms, I had to pay extra and for what? I have only two horrible experiences with time share exchanges and both times, it was in Ocean City. I arrived two hours early to Sandy Square as traffic was a non-factor to Ocean City, after all it was October, shocking right? I contacted the phone number on the email and an operator picked up and I requested an early check in and I was politely told that she would advise the powers that be and I would get a return phone call. The unit was well thought out. No contact entrance. Check the iron before using. We were going to a wedding and found the iron was all burnt on the plate so hubby's pants had to steam in the shower. When checking out after a time change make sure if you have to make two trips to your car to leave door ajar or someone inside as we discovered at 9 am the lock was still on old time and locked my husband out as it was on a 10am time. Other than that it was a perfect stay.

First time staying here, overall positive experience. Proximity to beach can't be beat. Also very quiet and kid friendly. Cons would be that for the price, you would expect inside decor to be above average. Patio furniture was cheap plastic chairs and tables--a disappointment because the view deserves to be looked at comfortably. Lots of nicks, scratches and dents in furniture. Not all light switches turn on lights (I don't know if not working or burnt out). Great that it has washer and dryer- and even though we did not get paper/linen package there were little things available like hand soap and coffee filters. Overall, lots of space for a family to be comfortable!
