Sands Motel

I wouldn’t recommend. With the price being low I wasn’t expecting much. It is worse than I could have expected. Food crumbs and crust all over the mini fridge and microwave. Crusted splatter from something on the wall. Bed sheets had stains. Floor hadn’t looked swept or mopped in a long time. I would only walk around in my shoes. The only available outlet is one next to the bathroom sink. There were spiderwebs in the corners of the walls. Smoke alarms were removed. There was a piece of toilet paper in the middle of the floor. The bathtub was disgusting and had black stains all on the bottom. The toilet seat had crust on it. Assumed it was a stain but scrubbed it off with a washcloth and it was brown crust. There are urine drips down the sides of the toilet. There is a train that goes past

We stayed here for a little under 5 months for my husbands job. Overall our experience was great, it was the only long term friendly motel in town that had a reasonable weekly rate. They even welcomed our pup with no additional charge. The new manager Justin and head housekeeper June are friendly and addressed our needs quickly. Our room was spacious which was great for all of our belongings during our long stay. The rooms could use a bit of love but overall are a good bargain for what you pay compared to other places to stay in the area.

Knew I made a mistake when I pulled on to the parking lot. Really run-down property. Confusion at check-in and then somebody yelling outside my room as soon as I got there saying some MFer couldn't live here anymore. |The tile floor was dirty and sticky. Threw my socks away when I left. Leftover used bar of soap left in the shower. If this is your only choice, sleep in your car!

It is exactly as described. For $35 it gets a 5 star. Classless neighbors from New Mexico let their dog crap in the parking lot and I stepped in it tracking it into room. Did my best to clean it. Apologies.

There's roaches dead on the floor on arrival, I had to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes before someone helped me, and it's past 1 AM and there's a group of loud annoying people playing loud music, drinking, and keeping the whole place up. I know this place is cheap, but you get what you pay for.
