Sandcastle Inn & Motel

We were totally misled. The “deluxe” room for 4 adults looked nothing like what we were shown in pictures. Two people had to sleep on a small recliner and had to put the bench below so our feet wouldn't hang. A 7-year-old kid could have slept there comfortably, but not one or two adults. They didn't provide sheets for this recliner until we asked.|The shower floor and sides had scratches and stains and looked filthy. We showered in our slippers.|The air conditioner wasn't attached completely. There was a hole on the side that they covered with the towel and secured with the clothespin.|They were also unresponsive. We were texting without any response a few times.|We love OOB and this is the worst place we stayed at ever!|My family is very disappointed at the motel and Expedia for marketing

Never stay here. Stayed here last month for my birthday and it was genuinely the worst hotel/motel experience I’ve ever had. The shower was so dirty we had to buy shower shoes to use it. The Pac-Man machine didn’t work even though that was a main reason we picked this place. The housekeeper had my boyfriend help her put in an AC unit in another room that wasn’t even ours. Someone knocked on our door to show the room we were staying in to 2 random people, our stuff was everywhere and tbh I shouldn’t have to worry abt that when staying away from home and spending $400. And as we were checking out the cleaning lady once again tried to get my boyfriend to do her job by asking him to help clean our room after we already checked out. Place is pretty awful, we booked through Expedia and boy did I mess up. When we arrived at 4pm this nice lady was scrambling to clean which wasn’t a problem…30 minutes later asked if we could place our belongings in the room while we went downtown and she said that was fine. We left and came back three hours later and our door was wide open, figuring she was still cleaning but she was not.. our stuff just being free for anyone to take. The room looked as it did in the picture but just really banged up, the shower I wouldn’t step in as it looked disgusting, I went to poor a cup of club soda for my son in one of the cups provided and it was dirty (dried on soda maybe?). I would avoid this place, especially if you're booking through a 3rd party. We booked and paid for these rooms in February for our trip in March. We received our confirmation email, and the check in instructions advised we need to check in before 6pm. That's all of the information that was provided. We arrived at 4 to a small parking lot with 5 little units attached to a house. There was no front office, and each unit had a little lock box with a code to get the key. Well, we were never given a unit number or a code to get in. We called them about 10 times, left a few messages. No response. We waited in the cold, wind and rain for about 45 minutes, nothing. We ended up getting a hotel in Biddeford at 11pm that night. This was Wednesday, today is Friday and still no response from the Sand C

We booked a stay here for the night of September 28 for two rooms. We made the reservation in January. In April, we were contacted by Sun Stays. They said they had purchased this property, and we needed to pay for our reservation. When booking this room through Expedia, somehow the payment option was missed. No problem. We paid for our two rooms on May 1. The charges are on my credit card. When we arrived on September 28 later in the evening, we found that we had to call a phone number to get our room codes. The phone number was Sun Stays. They did not have our reservation. The lady at Sun Stays kept putting us on hold while she tried to see what happened. After an hour of standing in the parking lot in the dark and the cold, still nothing. We told them to cancel the rooms, and we drove ar
