Sahara Motel

Wonderful location. Do not recommend this motel as it has gone down in quality. No dishes to use in the efficiency (which there have always been). Ants all around the counter space. Cockroach in vanity sink. Floor was so dirty that I had to put towels down. Feet turned black when walking on it. Not appropriate when you have a crawling baby. Finding new location to stay that prioritizes customer experience.

Positive: The location was amazing Negative: There was DEF mold in the room along with making my entire family feel sick it smelled very musty. The staff didn’t really clean our room and didn’t re up the toilet paper.The lights were also wonky and barely worked and the toilet seat was peeling.

Stayed here in 2024 with my son, left with a favorable opinion, so it was pretty easy to pick in 2025. Upon arrival (8:30pm) the manager was pleasant and worked with us to get an ocean view room, which seemed mostly like it was tidied by the last guests, not much by the staff. Needed a cot/roll out bed… I’d avoid these if you can! Mattress was raggedy and the frame seemed a little rusty. When I woke up the next morning, I found that my bag of groceries and snacks was infested with ants. Went to the office and was told “the manager will be here around 1” and an employee using google translate stopped by to spray for the ants. This ended up being one little thing after another. Ants, not enough outlets for charging, carpets need replacing (old, dirty) slow drain clogged with hair, no cleani

Really no complaints. The motel delivered what I expected, clean rooms ,friendly staff. The only criticism I have, I there was no internet on the ocean front room. I would stay there again. The prices were great.

Fantastic location. Friendly service. Room looked like the ceiling had been redone, and whoever did that work is very good. However, the room needs new doors and better beds. Lots of light could been sent around the door. Beds felt springy. Having said that, I'm willing to stay there again.
