Saddle Creek Campground

I did not like this campsite!! 😡They did not tell us it was a gun range! The other campers in the property were racist and rude to me and my boyfriend!! I did not feel comfortable here. You can't build a fire anywhere on the property! The host was upset that we didn't check in, but the sign wasn't labeled correctly, so we didn't even know where the entrance or check-in building was. None of the campsites were labeled or numbered, so we were told that we were in the wrong spot, but we didn't know because they weren't labeled.... If you have an RV, it's a decent spot to stay, but for tent camping, it was not a pleasant experience. I would not recommend the primitive camping site.

Beautiful campground. They are set to remodel it June2026, which is definitely needed. Do be aware of gun range hours ☹️

TERRIBLE place to camp. Do not spend your money on this campground. The owner is so rude. I’ve never experienced anything like it. The host/owner came up to me and said … what do you think you’re doing here and immediately stated interrogating me. I made a reservation and showed him it on my phone. He didn’t believe me. It was ridiculous. He found my reservation after and never apologized for the way I was treated. Cigarette butts and trash all over the grounds. The bathrooms are so very disgusting. The showers … no. Just no. And I haven’t even mentioned the shooting range yet. Constant gunshots while trying to relax in nature. That doesn’t work. We paid for two nights and didn’t even stay for one of them. Save your money. Go to the state parks that Florida has to offer and hopefully read

The view was amazing however a little too close to the gun range and the biggest bummer is no fires.

Not a flat spot in the whole place. Hosts couldn't be bothered to exhibit even the smallest amount of friendliness. Filthy bath house. Over 28 ft? Don't even bother. Only gave a 2nd star because it's cheap and lake adjacent forfishing, kayaking. Overall, go somewhere else if you have the option.
