Rushmore Express Inn & Family Suites

So much nicer than we were expecting! We couldn’t have asked for nicer rooms. The bed was firm like we like it. The bathroom and living area were so very nice. All very clean. The breakfast was a typical complimentary breakfast. The lobby, breakfast room and workout room were all very clean. If I was to dig for a fault it would be that the shower was not a hot as I like it, perfect for my husband but I like super hot. We would look forward to staying there again.

We have stay at this motel many times over the years with good experiences. However, this time in room 105 the water for bath/shower was barely warm and tub would not hold water, had to keep water running nonstop to keep maybe 2 or 3 inches in tub. Also the electric outlet for the hair dryer did not work, so had to take dryer off wall and use another outlet. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The breakfast was adequate, but have had more options at other motels we have stayed at in same price range. Good location, hope they fix what is needed in this room. Also i tried to call number for this motel for 24 hours, phone just buzzed and no answer, so i posted in chat on motels site, they should call me, when they did call, said understood i wanted to reserve a room for 2 nights and could

Place was HORRIBLE! First the hottub was filthy! The foam was thick and browned up. The edges around the top of the tub were disgusting. Most horribly was I was unable to shower in the morning. Completely ruined my trip! My friend showered first, and at first was unable to shut the water off. Then once she shut it off, it was unable to be turned back on. When I presented the problem to the hotel management and asked for a refund, they doubled down and dug in their heals and said I'd get 1/2 half back! I guess they figure since I got a bed that was worth 1/2 the cost of their rate despite be not being able to shower off the grime from their hottub. (We didn't notice it until already in the tub and the jets turned on, which was what caused the foam and then the grime appearance). We got out

Great location. The water was lukewarm and a short shower. The hot tub was closed four days we were there. The breakfast is ok biscuit gravy, eggs, toast, yogurt, cereal, sometimes great oatmeal. The beds are really comfortable, the staff was great. Can’t beat the location close to Mt Rushmore and fun shops. Sometimes parking is an issue. But overall would stay again.

The location was great. The motel was quiet and clean. We had some A/C issues the first night and I brought it up to the two gals at the desk and they were incredibly kind and offered to switch our rooms. We had two great sleeps after this and the kids LOVED the pool. Thanks for a great visit!
